The work “Torn” explores the fact that there is not one human being, but many. There is no permanent “I” or self. People change all the time. At one moment they are this person, at another moment they are another person, and after a while they are a third person, and so on and so forth, with almost no end in sight.

Starting from lying to oneself or deceiving oneself as a basis, everyone has moments when he/she tries to disguise himself/herself, but he/she must know what he/she has and what he/she doesn't have, that is to say, he/she must realize that he/she doesn't have those qualities he/she thinks he/she has, and that is what the work Torn Away tries to show that man is changing himself/herself all the time, exaggerating the change of the physical body and the change of the invisible exterior, but by searching for the ego and self-consciousness, he/she is never changing. But by searching for the ever-changing self, its consciousness and will, we tear away the rest of the disguise and leave the true self behind.
