From the two passages of “Human Senses, Earthly Senses, and Heavenly Senses” in “Zhuangzi - The Theory of Things” and “Zhuangzi - The Seventh Book of Emperors”, in which Hun Hun Chaos opens his seven orifices and dies, we have explored the relationship between the society and the individual's physical body. The senses can be said to be an important part of a human being, but in the present world, the senses often blind us and make us forget “ourselves”.
We intend to create a set of “physical musical instruments” to accompany the performers in their live performances, using electronic materials such as buzzers and amplifiers to read the operation of the body's internal circuits, which will then be transformed into live sound effects, e.g., try to read the sound of blood flow when the hand is raised and lowered, depending on the state of the blood in the arm. sound effects. For example: try to read the sound of blood flowing, when the hand is raised and lowered, there will be different sound effects due to the different state of the blood in the arm. It is expected that there will be an 8-channel surround sound system to match the performers' performance, so that the audience will feel as if they are in the performer's body as soon as they step into the performance venue.
Through this performance, we hope to intertwine the senses of the audience with those of the performers, in an attempt to explore whether the boundaries of the senses can be expanded, and how we can escape from the labels that society has placed on our consciousness.
